FOW
Project FOW - Field of Well-Being
The "Field of Well-Being" initiative is aiming to transform the lives of migrants in participating countries through football - a sport that transcends cultural barriers and promotes unity. Our consortium, comprising three diverse organizations, harnesses the collective expertise in education, community and sports development, to address the complex challenges migrants face.
At the core of our project is a comprehensive, dual-faceted strategy: educational workshops coupled with engaging live football events. We are dedicated to empowering sport staff and coaches with specialized training through our interactive workshops. These sessions are meticulously designed to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to support participants effectively, focusing on mental and physical health, cultural integration, and fostering teamwork and community spirit. This educational component ensures that the program's benefits are maximized, with coaches and staff serving as informed, empathetic facilitators of positive change. The initiative is further enriched by live football events, creating welcoming and inclusive environments where migrants can actively participate, connect with local communities, and cultivate a sense of belonging. This synergy between education and active participation not only bolsters the well-being of migrants but also strengthens the community's fabric by empowering sports staff and coaches as agents of social inclusion and cohesion.
This project is committed to delivering lasting impact. Our strategic plan encompasses the development of a robust toolkit for sports staff and coaches, the establishment of events, and a scalable framework to replicate our success across different settings. By leveraging the unifying power of football, our initiative not only seeks to enhance the immediate well-being of migrants but also to inspire and equip sports professionals to lead efforts in integrating and unifying migrants within their communities.
